How to treat Light It Be wood

love & wax

Love is fundamental, but it is not enough. As in any other relationship, there are maintenance care that should not be neglected, even more so when dealing with living and temperamental material, such as wood. When exposed to the elements – air conditioning, humidity, heat, cold, direct sunlight… – wood reacts, expands, retracts, manifests itself. You can also lighten or darken. Nothing that good maintenance doesn't anticipate. the wood of original Light It Be lamps has as a final finish, a generous layer of hydration with natural beeswax. The same one that we supply in our 'first aid kit' and with which you must moisturize the wood of your lamp every three months or at least every six months.

How to do

With a soft cloth or small brush, spread the wax over the entire exposed wood surface. Wait, between 30 to 60 minutes, for it to dry completely. Then, with a soft, clean, 100% cotton cloth, gently rub off the polish. This way, you'll get the satin semi-gloss that only natural wax provides to wooden surfaces. Your Light It Be thanks you.

Note

When waxing your Light It Be lamp, prevent the wax from coming into contact with the brass components.
