When you put your heart in it

Sculptural and artistic pieces

Keeping our trees alive was the founding principle of the Light It Be concept and our unique wooden lamps. Initially, it was the recognition of the natural beauty of the logs that aroused in us the desire to lend our gaze of adoration to others. To lead them to see what we saw, with equal respect, reverence and appreciation. Take them to see the sculptural beauty, unique and unrepeatable, of each decision of the tree, of each slope embroidered by the wind. Leading a crowd on a walk through the forest was a possibility, but that would be of no use to our trunks, piled in the open, which would never, or hardly, arouse this recognition, disguised as mere 'firewood' as they were. However, transforming the shadow they have already given us into light for everyone was an idea that literally illuminated the solution we found. If we didn't succeed, we would betray a desire that was already the will to be and to do. We would leave frustrated, nothing more. But… But if we could, how wonderful it would be!

We didn't need to be sculptors, as Nature had already sculpted before us, and much better than we could ever be. we didn't need to be designers, for she too had taken care of that, of giving them an excellent shape. We just needed, respecting what was already there, to make it so useful and special that it allowed what was already obvious to us to be visible: the sculptural beauty of wood. A lamp could do that and still adorn our feat with notes of poetry. We all need light. And in what way. We all like pieces with an artistic bent, unique, that stand out in the decoration, and from the heart, of the house. That about them attract interest. Multiple looks. Different perspectives. Pieces that arouse well-being and admiration. That convey more than what is seen. May they reveal our passions without betraying them. Pieces that we are eternally in love with and that will never go out of style, because to say the opposite would be to say that Nature could go out of style.

In a reinforced reflection on the desire to maintain the integrity of each piece of wood, letting it simply be as it is, and to respect the prodigious artistic gifts of Nature, and because we are good-natured people, we called them Light It Be . Not only because they will make light happen, but also because they shed light on themselves, but also because there are things that only come to life if we let them be, freely and spontaneously.

It is this natural beat, this fascination with the almost eternal durability of a living being to whom we have given new life, that we wish to throb in the heart of every home. A lamp, almost a piece of art, which we look at under the light it projects. A shadow that now gives light. our light. your light.

All this is… Greyt!
